Hyderabad, 1st February 2013: ITsAP (The IT & ITES Industry Association of AP) and LEAD INDIA 2020 foundation today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for working together for implementation of a Joint certification program “Certified Change Agent”. The MOU is inked today Feb 01, 2013 by Mr. V Rajanna, President, ITsAP & Regional Head of TCS Hyderabad and Prof. N. B. Sudershan Acharya, National Coordinator, Lead India 2020 foundation in the presence of Managing Committee members of ITsAP and Office bearers of Lead India 2020 foundation.
As part of the MOU Lead India will design, develop and implement a comprehensive training and certification program called “Certified Change Agent “program for various professional college students. The training program will be a 2 day work shop followed by three months of project implementation, where the students will bring about social change and will be awarded social credits, as per the social credits framework, developed by Lead India. Once the principal’s of the institutions certify the project work, the certificate will be jointly awarded by ITsAP and Lead India 2020 Foundation. Lead India will submit a consolidated Lead India National credits report on a periodic basis which will be used by ITsAP for internal and external communications.
Speaking after signing of the MOU, Mr. V. Rajanna, President, ITsAP said, “We are extremely happy to support this important initiative of Lead India 2020 foundation to transform youth of the country, to realize the dream of Sri. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam of a developed India by 2020, or even earlier”. ITsAP, he said, will strive to create opportunities for its Member Companies to use LEAD INDIA as a platform for achieving CSR objectives.
Prof. N.B. Sudershan Acharya, National Coordinator, Lead India 2020 foundation, who signed the MOU on behalf of the Lead India 2020 foundation said, “ITsAP and the Industry as a whole have been ardent supporters of our initiatives for many years. The support that is expected from the Industry as part of this MOU will not only help transform the youth of the country by inculcating scientific temper and human values but will also strive to bridge the Skills gap and make them Industry ready”.
He said Lead India 2020 foundation hopes for continued cooperation from ITsAP and individual associates of its member companies, especially with respect to Volunteering with technology implementation, Adoption of schools to monitor and most importantly mentoring students.
