A home for the children abandoned by their parents, a shelter for orphans, run with the help of donations from public, eagerly looking for help in maintenance, ultimately found concerned hearts and caring hands in CIQ volunteers.
On Monday 13th June’11, the CIQ-Hyd GVD Team led by Satya Prakash Yalamanchili, along with 10 volunteers, brought a ray of hope in the lives of the children at Sri Vidhya’s Centre for Special Children, East Marredpally, Hyderabad. The volunteers created good living conditions for the special children.
Ms. Shanthi Venkat, Founder & Chairman, expressed her gratitude to the volunteers. She said that she felt that center was very lucky to get such highly dedicated volunteers who rendered their service with dedication.
All volunteers said that it was an excellent experience to them and they look forward to more such programmes in future.
Highlights of the GVD:
- Painted the walls of the living room which was in a bad condition.
- Installed big size refrigerator to store vegetables and food.
- Conducted YOGA sessions to bring them into normal conditions.
- Helped them in learning mind improvement activities.
- Conducted competitions and distributed gifts.
